I find nothing in my life that I can't find more of in books. With the exception of walking on the beach, in the snowy woods, and swimming underwater.
That is one of the saddest journal entries I ever made when I was young.

The exceptions are what makes the life livable, so not so sad really. And anyway, did she not have any intimacy in her life - perhaps thats the sad part.

Oh. This made me happier. Then sadder. She did love to read though, it made her feel less alone and also more so. Oh dear, such contradictions.
