Fanny Brawne can only 'flirt and sew'. I think only of 'wool and fairies'.
We both love ribbons and bows and triple-pleated mushroom collars.

And Keats.

But, oh God, the dead butterflies.

I guess that Fanny's accomplishments did not include ironing, and she had somebody to do that for her. Nobody who does their own ironing loves triple-pleated mushroom collars, or triple pleated ribbons and bows either.
Thank goodness for "easy-care" clothes, and pity poor Fanny and John who did not, at that time, have a branch of BHS handy.

Her accomplishments mostly included coy glances and/or scowling. And she would NOT have shopped at BHS. More John Lewis (or, indeed, Liberty) haberdashery.
